When Victoria called me to capture the incredible moment they found out what baby #3 was going to be, I was elated! What an exciting time for this family! They had their ultrasound and the tech wrote down the new baby’s gender on a piece of paper, taped it together and put it in an envelope. Victoria dropped the envelope at the balloon store and told them to open the paper and thats the colour of balloons she needed. The store gave the note back and off they went. On Sunday, my husband picked up the balloons and I was so excited to see – PINK! Yep, this was going to be the third baby girl for this family! Monday, we packed the balloons in the box and off I went to meet the family. We did the reveal and the girls were so excited! Neveah was smiling from ear to ear about another baby sister! We got some beautiful family pictures and all in all I was so happy with the whole session.
Fast forward to Monday evening when I get a text from Victoria. There’s been a mistake – the balloon store saw pink notepaper and assumed it was a girl When Victoria opened the envelope that evening and opened the paper – it said BOY! How devastating! Poor little Neveah cried, she was so excited after telling her whole family that she was going to have another baby sister! So, we’re going to re-release the balloons, this time blue – and while it won’t be as genuine an experience as we had the other day – it will be a story to tell!
