Last night I had the pleasure of volunteering for the Ontario Senior Games Association. Almost every year, my sisters and my mom and I head down to North York to help set up the chairs, hand out refreshments and basically make ourselves useful. I’ve missed the last couple years, but I was back last night and I’m so glad I was able to make it!
They had a really wonderful turnout this year, lots of people and limited seating made it a very stuffy room – but everyone was in really great spirits. This year, I took the pictures of the competitors after they were given their awards – they can receive their picture completely free electronically – and for those that aren’t too savvy on the internet, I also offered a print service.
The refreshments afterwards went quick, as always, and my sisters did a great job with the coffee and pop. The cakes were super yummy and all in all, I think that the night was a big success! Congratulations to all the winners!
My mom, sisters and I getting all ready to start 🙂
Explaining how to get their free photo, my Grandpa is the co-chair and he was really in his element last night!
