After the baby shower on Sunday, I trekked all the way across the 401 from Cobourg up to Brampton to meet Rob and Carla, and their beautiful new addition Joshua. I came with so much stuff, I felt like I was moving in! Rob and I chatted, again, for a half hour before starting the shoot, but it was perfect, because Joshua fell quickly asleep in his mom’s arms, and we managed to get some wonderful sleepy pics!
I will say though, his little arms and feet didn’t want to go where I wanted them to go, but we compromised! A little pee, a little poop and a lot of smiles later, we got some gorgeous pictures!
Rob asked me, how do I manage to make everyone’s photos different? How will his pictures be different from his friends, who are also using me for their newborns (think baby Emily, and upcoming newborn of Nina and Colin… and Audrey’s little girl you’ll meet this weekend). And I just simply said: it’s the baby. With Emily, she was so cuddly and happy, even without her sleeping we got some great shots. Little Joshua was so sleepy, that getting the little basket shots we’re so great. The family makes a huge difference too – I get a feel for the family, and try my best to capture what they love.
So, without any more rambling, here are some photos that I hope Rob and Carla will love!
