Saturday was CHILLY with a capital C – but that was no stopping us! Josh and Kady were tying the knot and I was so excited to be there to witness it. When I arrived at Kady’s house, the old school girl music was rocking (think Concrete Blond!) and the hair and makeup was in progress. It was a lot of fun getting to know all the girls, who were awesome bridesmaids, and be able to capture such a great morning. Then Kady made her way out in the snow for some super-cold pictures and off to the ceremony we went. When I arrived, I was greeted by a BRIGHT flash, as Jim (father of the groom) caught me on camera – a rarity! And then away we went into a beautiful ceremony – It was a tear jerkier, Josh and Kady both wrote their own vows, and there were tears flowing all over the room.
The formals were WAY too cold, so we did as much as we could, then ran back inside to warm up. Then outside, then inside… you get the picture! Every single one of the bridal party were real troopers and held up to the cold really well! The dances were beautiful, the speeches were really well done, all around, and the candy bar… well, I’m going to pretend I didn’t eat that bag I brought home… no, my kids ate it… yes, now that sounds better 😛
