It was a great day yesterday! We celebrated my niece’s first birthday in the afternoon, and then I met Amanda and Jay for their maternity photos just after. I always warn my clients about pinterest – often times, clients want the EXACT photo they found online, but really, you’re paying your photographer for the style they shoot, and because you liked what you saw on their portfolio. It can be very hard to recreate the photo they’re asking for, because the situation is different, the lighting is different, the subject it different… a lot of variables! I was nervous when Amanda came with some ideas of the look she was going for, but she was super laid back and open to trying different things! I think we managed to capture her style without trying too hard to be something we weren’t… we got these beautiful photos and they’re 100% uniquely hers 🙂
I can’t wait to meet your little girl, you guys were a blast!
