I’m a little late working on this blog (and I have a couple others to get going too!). Julianna and Jason got married in March and I was really honoured to be able to photograph their wedding. I’ve known Julie for a long time, and when she and Jason approached me about covering the wedding, I was jumping all over it before we could even sit for coffee.
Jessica and I arrived at the hotel for Jason’s preparations and while his nerves were a little apparent, he looked absolutely dashing, and his family was all smiles. Julie’s place was equally busy but when we got upstairs to get her dressed everything calmed right down. Julie’s kids were there to watch mommy turn into a princess.
The entire day was beautiful from beginning to end. The ceremony had everyone holding their breath to prevent themselves from crying. Jason presented Kai and Brielle with their own gifts to welcome them into his clan and to solidify them all as a family. That was the kicker for me, and where the tears started.
Granted it was freezing for our photos, but the group held out really well and we got some beautiful shots. The night was finished off for us with Jason playing some live music to his new bride and kids, and, well… I imagine they’re headed into a life of happiness.
Julianna and Jason,
Wow, the photos definitely catch the feeling of love you two share and the love of your family. Gorgeous photos! Rick and I also had a winter wedding in January. Love the full length cape! Please contact me by email and I will send you a beautiful verse about love that my Mom (Aunt Rita) gave us on our wedding day. Congratulations!
