There isn’t anything in the world more amazing than the birth of a child. And I’ve been blessed to be there to photograph all three beautiful children in my sister’s family. Henry has two beautiful older siblings, Emma and George – he’s being welcomed into a very busy household! Shannon’s labour started around 1am (while I was still at the wedding from Saturday, blog to come for that too). And when I got the message at 830am, I packed everything up and made the trek back to Barrie. My other sister was on a train coming back from Montreal, and she was going to miss it. So we face timed her into the room so she wouldn’t miss it – technology is an incredible thing!
Shannon was calm and cool through the whole thing. The demon we expected to see never showed – she had control (for the most part) of her emotions the whole time. There was walking, rocking, laughing and some music. Then there was crying, yelling, pushing and a baby. I’m so glad I do this for a living – I was in the room seeing it all, and yet I still can’t remember the moments – at least maybe this can help them to!
one talented lady, capturing the most amazing moments.
