On the weekend I was invited to take event photos at Steph and Calder's baby shower. The families put on quite a beautiful BBQ party for everyone, with charcuterie, pulled pork, chicken and lots of salads. Did I mention, my oh my, the desserts. There were more desserts than any one person could ever eat! The coconut cream pie just made my whole day (you can check out Murphy's Farm outside Alliston if you want more information!)
Anyways, the kids swam in the pool and played with the dogs while Calder and Steph opened their presents and visited their guests. Stephanie looked beautiful and was full...
The other day I did my first shoot of the year at Wilkins Walk for Karen's maternity photos. And never have I seen a woman glowing so late in her pregnancy as Karen was! She was all smiles, and the photos are absolutely beautiful and dreamy because of it.
Hopefully I get to meet this little man when he arrives!
It was such a treat to get to meet up with Sarah and Bryan again on Friday. It's been so long (it seems) since their wedding at the Nottawasaga - and now they're expecting! Just like when we met the first time, they were a blast. We had an awesome time getting some serious and not-so-serious shots in, and their little one will be coming into such an amazing and loving home!
Fingers crossed that Sarah's dad is back in time for the birth, I'm sure he knows he was one of my favourite father-of the bride's :P
I have to tell you, this never gets old! I was blessed to be able to take pictures for my sister and her husband when they announced they were pregnant with my nephew George, and now I was blessed to be able to do it again! I can't wait until September when I find out if it's a little niece or nephew, but either way - the family is growing and my heart right along with it!
Congratulations to my sister and her family on a new baby to love on the way!
If you're looking for an amazing and cute way to let your family and friends know you're expecting, contact me for a mini session - lots...
The other day I got together with Terri, Matt and Hunter to do some maternity photos. Terri is expecting twin girls, and her belly was awesome! I've known Terri for about half my life, and every time we get together we always have a blast. This was no different, with Matt cracking jokes the whole time.
Thanks for letting me capture your pregnancy, can't wait to meet these little angels!
Anne and Kody came to the studio with their little guy on Sunday for a maternity session. I was so excited to do their photos, because Anne said she wanted to do something a little sexier. Now, I happen to think that there's nothing as sexy as an expecting woman, and Anne didn't disappoint. Even after warning me that Kody wasn't a big fan of smiling, and their son Malachi was a little shy - well the shoot went wonderfully, and there were plenty of smiles going around!
Here's one of my favourites from the shoot!
Nothing makes me happier than being able to photograph my friends big life events. And Sarah has been my friend since we were kids - so now that she's expecting her second baby, it's only natural that I'd be taking some pictures for them! They brought little Noah, who's not so little anymore, and we went for a little walk in the woods. Noah was a champ and played right along with the photo ops, which I was a bit surprised about, since he wasn't too excited to have his pictures taken at Christmas.
I can't wait to meet their second little man, a couple more weeks and we'll have some newborn pictures...
Catching up on some blogging! Emily and Steve came in for their maternity photos, you may remember them from their wedding pictures! Emily and Steve are expecting a little girl, and they're tickled pink! Corny, I know - but I couldn't help it! They came to the studio and took some great indoor pictures, and then headed to the little wooded area down the road for some outdoor pictures. The weather was beautiful and after the cold snap we had, it was so welcome!
Can't wait to meet your little girl (not saying her name, in case it's a secret :P )
On the weekend I had my sister's family in again for her second round of maternity photos. Little Emma isn't always interested in taking her picture, but she was right into it this time, and was happy with just "One more" every time! I can't wait to see if this little one is a girl or boy, and get to introduce another niece or nephew into my family!
Not too long ago, we did Nancy and Bill's gender reveal, and in the next couple days, we'll be meeting their little girl! Nancy came by yesterday with her mum to take a couple shots before her little one arrives. Completely glowing, Nancy is preparing for the weekend - this means, we'll be seeing another little girl soon on the blog!
Can't wait!
