I met with Sarah and Bryan this morning at Sunnidale park for their engagement photos. It was HOT. And it kept heating up once we got started! Sarah was a doll, and looked beautiful in her pictures, and Bryan was a ham and did a great job getting into position and making it a really fun time.
I'm really looking forward to their wedding, if it's anything like today, the pictures will fly!
Yesterday I made my way up to Collingwood to meet Jaclyn and Matt at the Collingwood Terminals for their engagement photos. They sent me some pictures they found from the location, and it really did not do this place justice! The scenery was beautiful, I was in awe when I arrived - it was even more special to learn that Jaclyn's grandfather and father both worked in the terminals for a time!
We met at 7pm, and got some great light - awesome for silhouette photos - and got some great shots with the terminals, the bay and the boats too!
Thanks for a great time last night you two!
Finally got to meet Andrew and Angie for their engagement pictures today! We had a rough go with some not so great weather, getting sick and missing eachother! But today, the sun opened up in the skies and smiled down on us! No wonder, it's a great day... I turned 30 today :D
The beautiful couple even made a banner with their wedding date on it - and I had a "Save the Date" banner made up by Nicola at Personal Celebrations. And top that off with some little touches like some thought boards and a sweet little "Yes" bracelet and we were on a roll!
Anyways, we really had a great time getting...
I keep mentioning how it's such a small world, and yesterday was no different! Kathleen and Tom grew up 10 minutes from my hometown, and only a couple minutes from eachother - but they didn't meet until semi-recently at a charity band event. Neither wanted to go, but ended up meeting the loves of their lives - it was fate!
So that brings us to yesterday. I drove to their place where we planned our engagement photos. I woke up to rain, but it cleared up and by the time I got there, it was 19deg!
We took a little time getting comfortable, but once Tom got the hang of the 'relaxation' pose,...
Just before NYE this couple will be jetting away to the Dominican Republic to get married - but that won't stop them from getting some super cute engagement photos here in the snow! We went to Earl Rowe park in Alliston and despite the freezing cold weather, things were hot!
We warmed up after hiking through the snow (try and remember to be light on your feet) and got some really awesome shots!
Thank you Jake and Justine for asking me to take your photos - I can't wait for the wedding, it's going to be a blast!
If you're looking to do engagement photography...
Charity and Trevor are getting married at the end of October, and I couldn't be happier to be a part of it! We met for their engagement shoot today at the Museum on the Boyne in Alliston - perfect spot for a perfect couple! They only had eyes for eachother, and handled the posing well - fell right into stride.
I can't wait until the wedding when Trevor brings out the old muscle car - it's going to be incredible!
Congratulations guys!
I had a perfect weekend, really, completely perfect. My family and I went to the Base Borden air show on Saturday, and because I had an engagement photo session in Wasaga beach on Sunday, we spent the day at the beach. Couldn't have asked for better weather or a better time.
When I met up with Emily and Steve, they said they wanted to take me to a house (I later learned in the middle of no-where ;) ). I couldn't have been more excited though, when we pulled up the driveway! Tall grass, barns, horses, tree swings... <insert excited face here>... We immediately got started, and the whole...
This morning, in the cold, crisp morning air... I met Brenda and Ian in Alliston at the Museum and we did some engagement photos. Brenda was such a blast the first time we met, so I was really excited to get together to do these pics. I'll be honest, it was really cold, but the photos look beautiful, and Brenda and Ian were complete naturals for the lens!
With only gentle direction, they fell right into some really great poses for photos. I can tell that the wedding day is going to be a breeze!
Thanks for letting me meet with you guys today!
My last shoot today was an engagement photo session with Andrea and Dane, who are planning a Hamilton wedding next year. They were nervous to start, it really is awkward to have a photographer follow you around! But they warmed up and ended up looking fantastic! We tried really hard to make something naturally happen to incite smiles and laughter, and it's hard... but we ended up getting exactly what we were looking for!
I can't wait to see them again at their wedding in August :)
So yesterday I blogged about Sarah and her family, and today is the part 2, the engagement photos :) Sarah and her leading man Chris met me at Sunnidale park this morning and we spent some time shooting pictures of the two lovebirds. I'm over the moon happy with how they're turning out, It was easy with 2 people that were so comfortable in front of the camera. Chris even had a hand in direction, letting Sarah know exactly where to look for the 'dip' photo.
I'm so happy that my best friend has found someone that she loves, and loves her back, in Chris - I wish these two nothing but absolute happiness...
