Sunday was a gorgeous day for an engagement party - and no better location, really, than Copper Creek Golf Club. Diana and Paul were in the room when I arrived, and the little details and effort they put into the whole day jumped out at me instantly! They were hosting a Champagne breakfast - and the brunch was SO delicious! Paul and Diana weren't too keen to have their photos done, but, they turned out pretty wonderful - if you ask me!
Sunday was a beautiful and mild day - perfect day for engagement photos. I met up with Trystan and Ryan in Oro at a beautiful old burned down house. the structure was absolutely incredible - rock walls, charred window frames - but most of all it was waist high snow and lots of laughs.
These two kept it light, and we had so much fun - I honestly can't wait until their wedding, to see these smiles again!
I met with Heather and Luke on Sunday for their engagement session. They're getting married out by Stratford but wanted to have their engagement captured in the fall colours. We had a couple nice gentlemen offer to throw some leaves at us, for the photos of course, and despite the cold - these 2 heated things up!
Last week I met Sarah and Aaron down on the lakeshore for their engagement pictures. Aside from a couple 'off' people insisting that Aaron grow a handlebar mustache, the shoot was so much fun! We walked along the lake, stopping at a couple spots along the way and ended up with some really awesome shots, especially the ones right at sunset!
I can't wait for the wedding, I expect that its going to be an incredible time!!
Last weekend, I met again with Heather and finally got to meet her fiancé Yusuf. It was a warm day in Newmarket over at Ferry Lake - we started off in a local pub on Main Street, and took some really great shots while sharing a beer. These two met at a similar place, so it seemed like a good idea to capture some of the 'real' engagement love. Then, over to the park where we had to fight off some geese, witness a real life serenading and then back to the cars again.
All in all, it was a quick and easy shoot - its so easy when the couple is so much fun! I can't wait to see you guys again at the wedding!
After all the sun yesterday, I was excited to head out to do Jessica and Brent's engagement photos! We've rescheduled because of weather before, and I couldn't believe it when I walked out my door and it was raining! I was sure there was no way the rain would last, so I kept trucking and met with the couple, in the rain. We waited about 10 minutes before it let up - and it was perfect! The sun was glittering off the water on the leaves, all the colours were deepened, because everything was wet! I'm glad we kept this date, and I think Jess was happy too! Any longer and we'd be losing the leaves...
Wednesday I made the trip down to the Mono Hills to catch up with Chris and Mary for their engagement photos. Chris is an old high school friend of mine, so it was easy talking as we hiked around the trail to do their photos. These two are tying the knot on Saturday, and I'll be there for a couple hours to capture the day for them - can't wait!
Thanks for helping me get in my cardio, my legs were still aching after :P
This morning I got together with Kady & Josh for their engagement photos on the train tracks in the south end of Barrie. We kept our eyes open for trains, and got right down on the tracks for some really awesome shots! We even stopped traffic for a minute to get a great shot on the road. It was hot, which was surprising since the mornings are getting chillier as the days go on - but it was a great time of day for the pictures. The sun was at just the right height to create some nice halos on Kady and Josh's heads.
Anyways, I'm really looking forward to their wedding in January - it's *hopefully*...
On Sunday I was out in Pefferlaw to catch up with J & Christina - their wedding is coming up and our last date got rained out. Sunday was a much nicer day, but it was H.O.T. the sun was beating down on us, and J insists that Christina told him to wear the cardigan, she swears it was all his choice - either way, they both looked pretty incredible - and the fact that they weren't afraid to get a little wet made it so much more incredible.
Can't wait for your wedding guys, it's going to be awesome!
This morning, despite the threat of rain all week, I met Kate and Katie for their engagement photos in the Distillery District, downtown Toronto. We really couldn't have asked for better weather - with the sun hiding behind the clouds, we had no worry about squinting and there was just enough of a breeze to cool us down. Well, maybe just cool ME down, because these two were hot, hot hot!
Both of these beautiful ladies fell right into position, doing a lot of my job for me - there was very little instruction, and the pictures are turning out wonderfully!
I can't wait until your wedding in August...
