Looks like I can get one more blog in before I leave for holidays in Italy! And what a blog it is too... Erica and Myles drove all the way up to Barrie for their engagement shoot and they rocked it. years ago, I shot a friend of their's wedding and they found me on that advise. i'm glad they did - they're such a wonderful couple that was willing to try all kinds of things for the photos; including climbing some treacherous rocky areas and getting into the stream where it was quite slippery.
I can't wait to see how they fare for the wedding, I'm sure it's going to be pretty awesome!

I met Matt and Laura a while back when they booked their wedding with me. They told me they were having the wedding at Belcroft Estates and wanted to do the engagement photos there as well, just in the fall instead of the summer - for a nice contrast from their wedding photos.
So, we waited for the leaves to be just right. We waited for the weather to be just right and we waited for the sun to be in the exact right spot in the sky - and then we got started. Belcroft is a truly spectacular spot, I was wowed from the moment I drove down the long driveway. I honestly can't wait to go back for their...
I met Lauren and Lenny at Scanlon Creek in Bradford the other day. The sunset was gorgeous, and the weather was perfect. But with that came a tonne of mosquitos!
We didn't have to walk very far to get some beautiful shots - there was a gigantic rock, a beautiful path, some benches and buildings - it really was a great spot! Lauren and Lenny were so much fun to photograph too, they had some cute ideas for poses and pretty much constantly stared into each others eyes. It was hard to get them to even look at the camera!
I hope Lauren and Lenny enjoy this little teaser!
Meghan and Shawn met me at Wilkins Beach for their engagement photos with their beautiful little pup. We worked our way through the park and got the best lighting - it truly is the golden hour!
There are so many reasons I love Wilkins Walk, from the bridge, to the beach. The stream and the rocks, the downed trees... so many gorgeous spots! And now that the weather is warming up - we can start getting clients into the water!
Anyways, here are some teasers - can't wait for this wedding!
Catching up on some blogging today, and wanted to start with Lacey & Trevor's engagement photos. We met a little while ago at their home, as they wanted to have a hunting theme for their images - we couldn't very well be hauling their rifles around conservation parks!
There was a gorgeous little forest beside their house, and we went in and took some great images there and then even hopped the fence into the cow fields. The pictures look beautiful, I can't wait to get them done and shown to Lacey & Trevor!
This storm was terrible, but completely perfect for the engagement session today! Sam and Gareth braved the cold, and quite frankly deadly conditions (branches falling everywhere!) to meet me at Hewitt's Creek to take their engagement photos. I literally couldn't wait to get home and post them up for you all to see!
We marched through the snow, hearing the ice crack as we walked along the path - the wind was blowing. But Sam and Gareth warmed the whole area up! The trees were down completely framing the shots for me. I couldn't have asked for a better day for photos!
I met with Kayla and Tyler on the weekend, after pushing the engagement pictures for weather, we were crossing our fingers that the rain would hold off - and it did! We met at Boyne Park in Alliston and while it wasn't warm, it sure wasn't that cold! Kayla and Tyler were able to take some awesome shots, without coats on, with very little shivering. I, on the other hand, wore my comfy toque and gloves - not taking any chances!
I can't wait for their wedding in Baxter - it's going to be wonderful!
I met Jaclyn while shooting another wedding a little while back. She contacted me about her wedding, and I couldn't wait to sit with her and discuss it all - she's having a bohemian style wedding, and the colours and styles all look beautiful. I can't wait to see it all put together.
We had her engagement pictures on Monday, and I got to meet Luke - the self proclaimed "worst person to photograph". But I begged to differ - his smile extended all the way to his eyes, and the both of them took direction so well - they were so playful and the whole session was amazing.
Special thanks to Bohemia...
Still more catching up from Sunday! Wendy and Matt met me for the final shoot of the night at the waterfront. It was a beautiful day for engagement photos and the weather, while chilly - was way better than the windy day we first had set up!
Matt was a little stiff when we started out, but he loosened up and come the end of our session, he was rocking it! We had a blast, they have my exact sense of humour, and honestly - I can't wait for their wedding next August!
Christie and Shane met me by the waterfront on Thanksgiving monday to take some engagement pics - it was a gorgeous day! There was a fair amount of wind on the water, so we did the photos as hidden as possible and then trekked across the street to take some more urban shots. This was my favourite part, because Shane brought his motorcycle!
The photos were incredibly sexy and I'm loving the first looks I'm getting here!
