The pressure was on to get Dave and Nikki's wedding photo blog up - they're dying for the images!  So, work work work - and now I finally have something to show them. Bob and Jessica both came along to shoot this one so I could test my hand at a bit of video. The different angles and images have so far blown my mind! We started with the girls' prep in Lisle - everything was well on their way when we arrived, and after a couple minutes and some quick dress fixes we were able to get Nikki into her dress. Amanda and Scott tied the knot at the Farmhouse on the lakeshore in Barrie. It was a beautiful, quaint ceremony with their friends and family. Amanda's sons walked her down the aisle and she and Scott were so sweet with each other. Afterwards, we went across to the lake and spent a little quiet time taking shots. People would drive by and honk and send their congratulations to the couple - it was beautiful! Speeches and dinner and dances all came next, and then the night wrapped for me while they kept partying - I'm finally working on getting my blogs caught up and get a chance to share these...

I found myself in Pefferlaw again for Myles & Erica's wedding. Their neighbours were previous clients of mine and sang my praises (thank you!) so Myles and Erica took a chance on me - I know they won't be disappointed! The guys were getting ready next door, there was laughing and drinking but you could tell that Myles was a little tense. The girls were the same way, but we got everyone dressed and ready and once the ceremony began in the backyard, everyone managed to calm down and let the day play out. I got a call from Pamela about a week before they were having their religious ceremony because they needed a photographer to capture the event. I was already booked for a wedding that afternoon, but the timing worked just right and I was able to be there for them. It was a beautiful ceremony wit their closest family and friends. We popped outside right after for a couple really quick photos and then I was off! Thank you for thinking to invite me to your ceremony, it was beautiful!

I'm a little late getting this blog out, and I hope you'll forgive me - I was enjoying my much needed vacation in Italy! Looks like I can get one more blog in before I leave for holidays in Italy! And what a blog it is too... Erica and Myles drove all the way up to Barrie for their engagement shoot and they rocked it.  years ago, I shot a friend of their's wedding and they found me on that advise.  i'm glad they did - they're such a wonderful couple that was willing to try all kinds of things for the photos; including climbing some treacherous rocky areas and getting into the stream where it was quite slippery. On the weekend I was invited to take event photos at Steph and Calder's baby shower. The families put on quite a beautiful BBQ party for everyone, with charcuterie, pulled pork, chicken and lots of salads. Did I mention, my oh my, the desserts. There were more desserts than any one person could ever eat! The coconut cream pie just made my whole day (you can check out Murphy's Farm outside Alliston if you want more information!) Laura and Matt got married at Belcroft Estates outside of Innisfil the past weekend and it was a stunning day! The week prior had been fraught with heat and then rain but the Saturday was perfect. There was a light breeze and just enough sun to make the inside of the barn light up perfectly. In June, Amber and Kevin tied the knot in a beautiful outdoor wedding in Oro. The sun was shining and the wind was blowing but it was a mild and gorgeous day. The wedding seemed to go off flawlessly - except when in the middle of the ceremony a cell phone rang.  It's ok, it was Kevin's!  Everyone had a good laugh and then we proceeded. The photos were a lot of fun, and the dinner (cooked by Amber's sister) was amazing - all in all they had a phenomenal day! Congratulations Amber and Kevin!
