A couple weeks ago, I attended Rose & Bart's wedding at Holland Marsh Winery. It's a beautiful venue with an amazing outdoor view for photos. The weather held out despite the rain surrounding the day in the forecast. We met up before the ceremony to do photos with their kids and it was a blast. Bart wanted a photo with Godzilla chasing them, and I'm hoping I didn't disappoint!
After photos, we moved toward the ceremony location to greet the guests as they arrived, and enjoy some cocktails before the ceremony. When we started the ceremony, it was beautiful. The whole day was perfect from...
Jamie and Brad tied the knot on their property, and I was there for the wedding photos. When I arrived for the bridal prep, everyone was so laid back and relaxed that the getting ready part of the evening flew by. We had some fun getting the dresses on, and the girls shared a couple drinks.
When we got tot he ceremony, everyone was waiting with bated breath for Jamie to walk down the aisle - and when she did, no one was disappointed! We worked through some pictures and moved into a wonderful pig roast. The highlight of the night was when I realized that a teacher from my elementary school was in attendance!
Congratulations...
Deborah was celebrating her 60th birthday a week ago and her kids got together to hire me to be their photographer for the event. They surprised her with some memories that I hope will bring a smile to her face when she looks back upon them.
When I arrived, she was decked out in all the gear you'd expect your kids to dress you in for your 60th birthday - crazy glasses, many beaded necklaces, including one with a shot glass on it! We took some photos of all her friends and family relaxing in their beautiful backyard and then some group shots of everyone having her son Launie's signature margaritas...
I walk through the stores and already it's back to school! And back to school means fall is on the way - and that means I'm about to be overrun with requests for fall family photos! I'm encouraging my clients to book as soon as they can, because more often than not I have to end up turning clients away because I'm fully booked - don't let this happen to you!
All fall sessions are going to be taken in Barrie, 3 locations are available (if you have a preferred location, I'd be happy to check it out!) in the few hours prior to sunset (generally 4pm-6pm). Please note that my weekend availability...
Shane and Sam have me come do their family photos often more than once a year - but even when we don't get together in the fall I can always count on them inviting me to Melissa's family home to meet up with her family for their extended family photos.
Every year, we do similar shots. And while I love to get a little creative, my favourite part of this is that we are able to compare the shots year over year and see how their beautiful family has grown. This year, we welcome a new baby to the family!
The property is beautiful and the early morning sun, while a little brighter than I would...
Grayson was in the studio the other day, and he was the absolute twin of his older brother Ethan (who's cake smash we did in 2016). And while the looks were similar, Grayson wasn't as into the cake as Ethan was! He enjoyed the balloons and was into the cake for about a millisecond, and then he made us work hard for the shots with the smiles. But oh boy was it worth it!
I mean, look at this beautiful face!
And for good measure - this was Ethan - SO similar!
I'm a little late working on this blog (and I have a couple others to get going too!). Julianna and Jason got married in March and I was really honoured to be able to photograph their wedding. I've known Julie for a long time, and when she and Jason approached me about covering the wedding, I was jumping all over it before we could even sit for coffee.
Jessica and I arrived at the hotel for Jason's preparations and while his nerves were a little apparent, he looked absolutely dashing, and his family was all smiles. Julie's place was equally busy but when we got upstairs to get her dressed everything...
I was lucky to meet Kaia the other day, a sweet little not-so-newborn with a beautiful big sister. I was super surprised to have her come in sleeping, remain sleeping while we changed her, and then only wake briefly to eat and then sleep again! That rarely happens for babies outside the 2 week range, but I was so lucky.
She was adorable, and getting to shoot an almost newborn again was fun (it's been a while!)
Hope you enjoy these!
Kristen came with her amazing family for some fall family photos - if you're interested, check out my schedule for Minis this year!
We had a great time and the weather was amazing - we got some beautiful smiles and I'm imaging those smiles will only grow when they look at their gallery. It's quite a small world, Kristen lives in the same neighbourhood as my sister!
Enjoy some samples!
