Shane and Sam have me come do their family photos often more than once a year - but even when we don't get together in the fall I can always count on them inviting me to Melissa's family home to meet up with her family for their extended family photos.
Every year, we do similar shots. And while I love to get a little creative, my favourite part of this is that we are able to compare the shots year over year and see how their beautiful family has grown. This year, we welcome a new baby to the family!
The property is beautiful and the early morning sun, while a little brighter than I would...
Grayson was in the studio the other day, and he was the absolute twin of his older brother Ethan (who's cake smash we did in 2016). And while the looks were similar, Grayson wasn't as into the cake as Ethan was! He enjoyed the balloons and was into the cake for about a millisecond, and then he made us work hard for the shots with the smiles. But oh boy was it worth it!
I mean, look at this beautiful face!
And for good measure - this was Ethan - SO similar!
I'm a little late working on this blog (and I have a couple others to get going too!). Julianna and Jason got married in March and I was really honoured to be able to photograph their wedding. I've known Julie for a long time, and when she and Jason approached me about covering the wedding, I was jumping all over it before we could even sit for coffee.
Jessica and I arrived at the hotel for Jason's preparations and while his nerves were a little apparent, he looked absolutely dashing, and his family was all smiles. Julie's place was equally busy but when we got upstairs to get her dressed everything...
I was lucky to meet Kaia the other day, a sweet little not-so-newborn with a beautiful big sister. I was super surprised to have her come in sleeping, remain sleeping while we changed her, and then only wake briefly to eat and then sleep again! That rarely happens for babies outside the 2 week range, but I was so lucky.
She was adorable, and getting to shoot an almost newborn again was fun (it's been a while!)
Hope you enjoy these!
Kristen came with her amazing family for some fall family photos - if you're interested, check out my schedule for Minis this year!
We had a great time and the weather was amazing - we got some beautiful smiles and I'm imaging those smiles will only grow when they look at their gallery. It's quite a small world, Kristen lives in the same neighbourhood as my sister!
Enjoy some samples!
The pressure was on to get Dave and Nikki's wedding photo blog up - they're dying for the images! So, work work work - and now I finally have something to show them.
Bob and Jessica both came along to shoot this one so I could test my hand at a bit of video. The different angles and images have so far blown my mind! We started with the girls' prep in Lisle - everything was well on their way when we arrived, and after a couple minutes and some quick dress fixes we were able to get Nikki into her dress.
From there, we went to Mississauga to Boadens banquet hall for the ceremony. Dave was a nervous...
This family won my contest around Christmas last year and we finally nailed down a time to get together and take their photos. What a gorgeous family they had with a new little one too!
Thank you for taking part in the contest, and I can't wait to show you your gallery!
Amanda and Scott tied the knot at the Farmhouse on the lakeshore in Barrie. It was a beautiful, quaint ceremony with their friends and family. Amanda's sons walked her down the aisle and she and Scott were so sweet with each other. Afterwards, we went across to the lake and spent a little quiet time taking shots. People would drive by and honk and send their congratulations to the couple - it was beautiful!
Speeches and dinner and dances all came next, and then the night wrapped for me while they kept partying - I'm finally working on getting my blogs caught up and get a chance to share these...
I found myself in Pefferlaw again for Myles & Erica's wedding. Their neighbours were previous clients of mine and sang my praises (thank you!) so Myles and Erica took a chance on me - I know they won't be disappointed!
The guys were getting ready next door, there was laughing and drinking but you could tell that Myles was a little tense. The girls were the same way, but we got everyone dressed and ready and once the ceremony began in the backyard, everyone managed to calm down and let the day play out. Smiles and laughter were everywhere!
We took our photos on a bridge over the river...
